Prophet Yusuf (Joseph, peace be upon him) is the son of Prophet Yaqub. His story is called 'the best of stories' in the Quran and is told in Surah Yusuf (Chapter 12).

As a child, Yusuf saw a dream where eleven stars, the sun, and the moon prostrated to him. His father warned him not to tell his brothers, who were already jealous. The brothers plotted against Yusuf, threw him into a well, and told their father a wolf had eaten him.

Yusuf was found and sold as a slave in Egypt. The wife of his master tried to seduce him, but he refused and was imprisoned for years. In prison, he interpreted dreams for inmates, including predicting the king's dream of seven lean cows and seven fat cows.

When he correctly interpreted the king's dream, he was freed and appointed as the minister in charge of Egypt's resources. During a famine, his brothers came to Egypt for provisions, not recognizing him. Eventually, Yusuf revealed himself, forgave them, and reunited with his father Yaqub.
