Idris (Enoch)
The Truthful Prophet
Prophet Idris (peace be upon him) is believed to be the third prophet after Adam and his son Sheeth. He is known as the first to write with a pen and is credited with introducing many sciences including astronomy and mathematics to humanity.
Idris was raised to a high station by Allah. He is mentioned twice in the Quran, where Allah describes him as truthful and patient. Some scholars identify him with the biblical Enoch.
He was known for his wisdom, piety, and dedication to worship. He spent his nights in prayer and his days teaching people about Allah. He is one of the few prophets mentioned as being 'raised to a high station' by Allah.
