هارون
Harun (Aaron)
Minister of Moses
Prophet Harun (Aaron, peace be upon him) was the elder brother of Prophet Musa. When Musa asked Allah for a helper due to his speech difficulty, Allah appointed Harun as his vizier and partner in prophethood.
Harun was known for his eloquence and gentle nature. He accompanied Musa to confront Pharaoh and was with him throughout the journey of the Israelites. When Musa went to Mount Sinai for forty nights, he left Harun in charge of the people.
During Musa's absence, some Israelites made and worshipped a golden calf. Harun tried to stop them but was overwhelmed by the majority. When Musa returned, he was initially angry with Harun but accepted his explanation.
Harun died before reaching the Promised Land. He is praised in the Quran for his prophethood and righteousness, and is mentioned alongside Musa as an example for believers.
