Main Surahs 2, 7, 15, 17, 20

Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) was the first human being created by Allah and the first prophet sent to mankind. Allah created him from clay and breathed His spirit into him. He was taught the names of all things and was made superior to the angels in knowledge. Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam, and all did except Iblis (Satan), who refused out of arrogance.

Adam was placed in Paradise (Jannah) with his wife Hawwa (Eve), where they were allowed to enjoy everything except one tree. However, Satan deceived them, and they ate from the forbidden tree. They immediately felt shame and sought forgiveness from Allah, who accepted their repentance.

Adam and Hawwa were sent down to Earth, where they became the parents of all humanity. Adam lived for approximately 960 years and had many children. He taught his descendants about the oneness of Allah and guided them in worship.
