سليمان
Sulayman (Solomon)
The Prophet King
Prophet Sulayman (Solomon, peace be upon him) was the son of Prophet Dawud. He inherited his father's kingdom and prophethood and was granted a dominion unlike any other - Allah gave him control over the wind, jinn, and the ability to understand the language of animals.
Sulayman was known for his exceptional wisdom, which he asked Allah to grant him. He could understand the speech of ants and birds. The hoopoe bird brought him news of the Queen of Sheba (Bilqis), leading to her eventual conversion to Islam.
The jinn worked under his command, building palaces and diving for pearls. The wind would carry him great distances in a single morning or evening. Despite his immense power, Sulayman remained a humble servant of Allah.
He died while leaning on his staff, and the jinn continued working until a termite ate through the staff and his body fell, revealing his death. This showed that jinn do not know the unseen.
