إلياس
Ilyas (Elijah)
Sent to Baalbek
Prophet Ilyas (Elijah, peace be upon him) was sent to the Israelites who had fallen into idol worship, specifically worshipping an idol called Ba'l (Baal). He called them to return to the worship of Allah alone.
Ilyas is praised in the Quran as one of the righteous and among the best of creation. He is mentioned among the prophets in Surah Al-An'am and his story is briefly told in Surah As-Saffat.
Despite his efforts, most of his people rejected his message. However, he is honored by Allah and counted among the prophets who will be remembered and blessed until the Day of Judgment.
